I love Lucy!

Today we got a puppy! She's purebred cocker spaniel and almost 4 months old. Jeff and I had Saturday all to our selves and Jeff said "we should get a puppy and surprise the boys." So with the help from his sister, Jodie, we found Lucy! She is just the sweetest dog and so good with the boys.  She is playful yet calm and cuddley. We are so excited to have a new member of the family

This is the video we sent to the lady we bought her from to show her how much Lucy loves her new home. It was a little sad when we left with her, but we will keep in contact with them so they can watch her grow. We just love our Lucy girl!

A day at the beach

Today we packed our buckets and shovels, sweatshirts, camera and red vines and headed on over to Newport. We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium first. Bennett actually wasn't all that impressed, he was a little on the cranky side today. But he did say his favorite part of the aquarium was the octopus. Jeff and I both loved the shark tunnel, Casey got a little freaked out at first but then he was just in love with all the big fish. 

We played there for a bit then got lunch and wound up at Agate Beach. If you've never been there, it is WINDY! It's beautiful, but we should have figured there was a reason for the dunes, wind. But we had lots of fun any way, stayed for 3 hours (not long enough for me). The boys loved playing in the water and Casey loved digging his feet down in the sand so they "got stuck". We dug in the sand for a bit, slid down dunes, found a Toy Story kite that we flew for quite a while. Both the boys took turns flying it all by themselves and they got pretty good at it, Bennett could get it up and going all by himself if it crashed. Then it slipped out of Ben's hand and flew away. :( It was pretty sad and lots of tears were shed. 

I can't wait until next year when I'm completely well. I really want to go camping at the coast. I just love it. The air is so fresh. It sounds lame and cliche but it really renews my spirit, the beach. 

And the Rocket's Red Glare

We had an awesome 4th, as we do every year, but this year my mom, sister and Grandma and Granddad came to the Webb family 4th of July bash. The boys had so much fun. I'm so glad they are so close with all their cousins, even second cousins. 

This year Bennett won the peanut hunt, he found the red peanut! He was so sweet he gave his prize to Jaxon, it was one of those paddles with a ball attached to a string. He said he couldn't do it so he gave it to him, then he was sharing his candy with everyone and giving everyone a bite of his snow cone. 

Casey was all over the place.  He loved that he figured out how to climb up and down from the crows nest all by himself and on and off the trampoline. He's such a big kid now, big FEARLESS kid. 

Both the boys are afraid of fireworks apparently. Bennett just doesn't like the noise and Casey doesn't like it all together, he kept clawing into me and burying his face in my neck even if I held his ears. So we went inside the house and watched them on tv and even then he'd cover his eyes and ears. The Schneiders provided us with some pretty sweet Washington fireworks, lets just say they aren't as strict as Oregon. It was like our own private show! So cool!

My dream house

Is totally Iris' cottage from the Holiday.

How cute is that tub!? Don't know how practical though. And my boys would destroy that floor  with water from baths.

Someday...someday.

This would be in my kitchen or right off of it open to the kitchen.

I love these colors!

And add a bit of Weasley into the mixture and it would be PERFECT.

But Jeff probably wouldn't live with me. My taste is too old for him, after living in this old house he wants something newer next time around.  Old houses just seem to have more character...and probably more mice.
